What's happened to Mort Kondracke?
First off, he's on record as disagreeing with McCain's VP pick. Tonight on Faux news, after everyone else on the all-star panel thought it was just dandy that Palin's 17-yr.-old daughter is having this baby and think that the conservatives are supportive of her, Mort comes out with the taboo abstinence question. Everyone, Kristol, Brit, Barnes, jumped on him for even bringing up the subject. Mort has to be silenced.

2. I may be the only person who recalls that Kondracke used to be moderate when he was on McLaughlin
Group in the mid eighties. Okay not really moderate so much as a fact based person.

But that Morton has not been around for a reaaaaaallly long time. Maybe 20years.

You're not the only one. But the McLaughlin Group was
emblematic of the way the media tilted Rightwards --
his "Group" was some far-Rightists, some middle-
Rightists, and the Centrist Eleanor Clift as his token
"Lefty". This was supposed to fool us into believing
that the group was balanced. It's the same ploy NPR
uses when they present several pieces by the Heritage
Foundation, the CATO Institute, the American Enterprise
Institute, and the Hoover Institute and then give us one
by the Brookings Institution and hope we'll forget they're
centrist and instead think they represent the "balancing"
lefty opinion.

4. Don't discount Jack Germond from back then.

He was a good New Deal Democrat, just like McLaughlin used to be.
