The damage to McCain's campaign is already done. A switch would just make things worse.

OTOH, if the Troopergate boil comes to a head, I suppose it's remotely possible she'd be forced out. However, Bobby "Exorcist" Jindal is a nonstarter. Can you imagine going from a wacky fundie to a certified religious lunatic?

And as an aside, if you count days on your fingers, little Trig could *still* be the daughter's -- if she conubialized with her boyfriend within a few weeks of giving birth. Just sayin'.
