If this 26 year old had been dating a 17 year old for three years that would put them at 23 and 14, an age differential that even the most liberal parent would be stunned at. If it is true that her boyfriend was nearly ten years older, and allowed to "date" the daughter than I have to again wonder about the parenting.

I hope this isn't true. It is hard enough of a future for this young lady, to become a parent at such a young age, but if when she was barely a teenager her parents paid so little attention that she was "dating" a post-teem (in his twenties), than one has to ask - where the f*** were the adults.
