Spears vs Palin A Conservative Dilemma

SEATTLE -- She's 17, pregnant and her mom is the Republican Vice Presidential candidate.

Sarah Palin issued a statement that her daughter will give birth in about 4 months and that sometime between now and then she will marry the child's father.

So what does this mean in terms of the Republican campaign?

Nothing.

At least I hope nothing.

This is strictly a family matter and should not be a distraction in respect to Sarah Palin's candidacy.

But I have to wonder how it will play out with conservative Republicans; the same conservative Republicans that were so openly hostile when they found out that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant last year.
