If Obama wins he and the dems will get the blame for all the repuke screw-ups just like Jimmie Carter still gets blamed for Tricky Dicky Nixons mess.

5. Yes, but the Rethugs have to plausibly steal elections. If the gap is too wide btwn
parties, it's much harder. Plus, I've always assumed that Rethugs depend on the occasional Dem administration to refill the coffers.

3. I don't think so.

The price of gas skyrocketed under Bush, but the Republicans say it's the fault of environmentalists.

The Republicans want to keep the White House, and they will keep blaming other people if they get to keep it.

4. History reflects of late that
the republicans frequently throw a women under the bus...they disguise the political jesture as noble all along knowing that they anticipate/plan it to fail....... Remember Harriet Meier's Supreme Court Justice scam?

6. Well, they are of two minds:
On one side, they don't want to lose. They are naturally competitive and besides, if the dems get in and start discovering where the bodies are buried, they know hilarity for the ages will ensue, the kind of hilarity that could mean the end of their party as an effective political body. On the other hand, do they want to deal with the end results of 30 years of their economic stewardship? Hell no.

And in the middle of all that you have some of them pushing back at the Rove wing of the party. They got them a mess.
