It's interesting how the news media went after Edwards and his "love child" / affair a few weeks ago.

Now the shoe is on the other foot and the timing can't be worse for our elephant friends.

They are just so screwed.

It's not even like with Edwards where he was a candidate for the office.

McCain went out of his way to scoop her up out of relative obscurity and put her on the national stage.

Don't you just love the irony?

John Edwards was a candidate for the nomination for President. He was, and continues to be, a very public figure.

Palin's daughter is a teenaged kid who's got a big problem, and it should not be anybody's business but hers, the boy's, and their families.

I say leave the kid alone. Palin's inadequacies are many, more than enough to capitalize on. But the child isn't a public figure and should be off limits.

4. Not equivilent at all - this is a 17 year old single girl who had premarital sex with

a single boyfriend. She is NOT a public figure and did not possibly use campaign money on a cover up.

I have much move sympathy for this girl whose live is currently a mess AND she's the center of this media circus. Both JRE and Hunter asked for the notoriety they got - there the victims were EE, the kids, and all the EE supporters who still cared.
