I think the Press is pissed about this whole Palin thing too..... |
|
I remember Friday morning hearing the pundits talk about how it wasn't cool for McCain to put them on this wild goose chase with rumors about Pawlenty, and other potential candidate. Maybe it was Tweety? Basically saying there would be blowback for this from the press.
I suspect that is part of the reason we are now seeing the pundits starting to beat up on McCain's people.

2. I think that the corporations that own the MSM decided to cut Palin loose. |
|
I think that their plan is to trash Palin and force McCain to replace her with someone more to their liking. Expect an unbelievable cascade of trouble pouring down on Ms. Palin's head....starting right about.....now.

5. I just think they smelled blood |
|
the msm is a bunch of sharks. The scandals started in the blogs, the press smelled the blood, it was all over.
They'll eat her alive for the rest of the week, or until something better comes along.
I heard a pundit yesterday say she'll be news for 5 days and then won't matter. That was, of course, when she was still McPain's perky, charming, bold, out of the box surprise bible-thumpin', gun-totin', frontierswomen.
Now she's an unqualified to command her family, scandal-ridden, never-been vetted, unamerican secessionist, what-the-hell-was-he-thinkin', damage-control nightmare.
This has been a happy, heady day. I've eaten more popcorn than I can imagine. I certainly didn't get done any chores on the schedule. Best party I've been to in a long time!

9. I didn't think about that |
|
But yeah, that's a good point. I remember a few different commentators talking about how they didn't like the McCain giving them the runaround when it came to their VP pick. They said if could come back to haunt them, if they were shown to be purposefully putting out misleading information to keep the media talking about who it could possibly be. I know the Morning Joe crew on MSNBC especially were talking about it that morning.
I didn't think about it, but yeah, I was actually a little surprised to see the media going after this story. Usually they would back away, ESPECIALLY after Obama made the comments he did earlier. I'm a little bit stunned they are running with this story.

|
which is very strange. any other vp pick would have been all over the Sunday news shows. she hasn't even done Fox News .

Republican farce would be wildly funny as a Broadway play or movie. Mel Brooks would be the perfect playwright and director. I can see it now "Gidget and the Geezer".
