Levi Johnston (father of Bristol's baby); On his website "I don't want kids"
http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2008/09/palin-daughters-babydaddy-some-dude-named-levi-reports-enqui.php

UPDATE: The New York Daily News has more, as does the New York Post, which mentions this gem:

On his MySpace page, Johnston boasts, "I'm a f - - -in' redneck" who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes.

"But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- - - and just f - - -in' chillin' I guess."

"Ya f - - - with me I'll kick ass," he added.

He also claims to be "in a relationship," but states, "I don't want kids."

If you go to google and look it up, and then clicked on "cached pages" you can get some of the content... It appears it was online for a while (since at least 2006) but looks like it's been pulled down...

29. To lend a little perspective here
I have a nephew who is nineteen, and his 18 year old girlfriend just gave birth to my sister's first grandchild.

There's no wacko fundamentalism here, just two young people whose hormones and biological imperatives got the best of them. I don't think they are planning on marrying, and I don't see this as a stable long term relationship. But there's a third person involved, the new baby who was just born. This kind of thing happens pretty much every day, to fundamentalists and atheists alike. Birth control fails, or isn't used, and a pregnancy results. We all need to be honoring and cherishing the new lives involved.

I have two sons. And the fact that they haven't so far fathered any children isn't a source of moral superiority. It just is. While I sincerly hope my sons marry before they start a family (and I've told them that numerous times)if it works out differently isn't a moral failing on my part or their part.

In the end we are all children of, whatever. Some would say God. Some would invoke something else or nothing else. But we are all equal in whatever ir is that runs things.

52. Agreed... but,
I assume we don't go on record condemning the choices of
others. I am sad and afraid for these two children I don't
know, as I would be for any two children in their position.
They are children after all, and as the daughter of a 15 year
old mother, I know the realities of growing up to a mother who
was not ready for the realities of the life she
"chose". If you cannot accept that Levi was
speaking his own wisdom on his myspace page because he is
young and hormones got the best of him, how can he (or Bristol
for that matter) be capable of speaking anything more or less
when the eyes of the world are watching and her mother's life
ambitions hang in the balance? I honor the fact that she is
pregnant, but claim dishonor to John and Sarah for
politicizing her pregnancy. I pray for Bristol and her child,
for where will all these fair weather supporters be at 3:00 in
the morning when she needs to wake up for a fourth feeding?
Not holding her hand and telling her it will be alright, I can
promise you. If Sarah loves her child, she should withdraw
and be there for her daughter (and her 4 month old special
needs child) in this time of family crisis.

92. You are right, of course.
All of these things matter. How old are parents were, how old we were when becoming parents.

In a more neutral setting, I have often told others that the spacing of children is important and also we will make whatever spacing we wind up with work for us. My two sons were born a little more than four years apart. I was initially concerned they would have nothing in common and never get along. As it turned out, they're about as close as brothers can be and get along quite well.

And yes, I also worry about specific situations. My great-nephew that I referred to above -- his mother comes from a couple of generations of women who have had children at a young age, often not married. My nephew wants very much to be involved in his son's life, but the mother holds ultimate control.

I have long told my own two sons that it may not be fair, but in the end a woman has the ultimate control over whether or not a baby is born, and whether or not the father has any involvement in that child's life.

Personally, I was a stay-at-home mom, and very glad I could be one. Mu older son turned out to be a special needs child. For many years I knew I had to invest a lot of time and energy in him, and it wasn't until his senior year in high school that I realized he was mildly autistic, had Asperger's Syndrome. There are still on-going challenges, but this is NOTHING like Down's Syndrome or many other things.

I just wish our culture were more understanding and supportive of stay-at-home parents, and that there wasn't such a negative connotation put upon staying at home to raise children, nor on the other side, working outside the home.

It enrages me that women who work -- and I don't care if they or their husbands make millions of dollars or a whole lot less -- that those women are condemned as bad mothers. It also makes me crazy that our entire school system assumes that there is a full time stay-at-home parent available at all times, especially if schools are closed because of bad weather. The school year itself, bot to mention the school day in microcosm, assumes a stay-at home parent (mother). During all those years when I was happily and willingly a stay-at-home mom, every time there was a weather cancellation, or an early closing for any reason, it made me crazy when I thought of the many working moms and dads out there. Keep in mind that I had a working mother in the 1950's, when almost no mons worked outside the home. Probably that's what made me so very sensitive. And so while I am happy and grateful that I could be a full time stay at home mom I have always understood that it's not the choice or even the possibility of all women.

Which brings me back to Sarah Palin. While it's easy to criticize her decision to work outside the home. and even easier to start pointing the finger because her 17 year old daughter is pregnant, I know how little control we have over our children's lives and behaviors. My younger son was picked up for possession of marijuana the summer before his senior year of high school. Things were so bad that for about two months in the spring of his senior year he left home and moved in with a friend. We weren't actually sure where he'd gone, although we correctly guessed (as we found out several months later) where he'd gone. It was a very difficult and stressful time. He eventually returned home, graduated from high school, and went off to college.

He is now a senior at the University of Tulsa, will graduate cum laude, has been dating a wonderful young lady he met during orientation. I don't know how we got so lucky that things have turned out so well, except that we started with truly strong values, and let him return home when the worst was over. Sometimes things can seem so bad, and then they turn out all right.

I am so sorry that so many hear are being so condemnatory of Bristol Palin's pregnancy. Mistakes happen. Pregnancies happen. But it
is not the end of the world.

39. Well, he is only 18,
Himself basically a child.
I doubt many young men that age are ready to have a family complete with children.

to vocalize that unless asked or are letting someone in particular know...

65. He has a website too
http://levijohnston.com/Blog/

God I hope this isn't a hoax. It doesn't look like it. The domain's been around a while, but it looks like it was previously registered to someone with the same name in Phoenix AZ, of all places.

Anyway, the younger Levi appears to be on the Wasilla hockey team, but I don't see him listed on the roster, unless Levi's not his first name.

Also, http://web.archive.org/web/*/levijohnston.com

Considering the domains has been registered to the same person for the past five years and is registered until 2010 or somethign like that, I doubt there was any sort of transfers.

74. He may have graduated in June.
One of the NY papers reported that. What he's doing now, no clue, except of course fishing and being a redneck.

Maybe since he's famous, some college will give him a hockey scholarship, provided he's managed a 2.0.

82. Story on NY Daily News
He's a superhunky bad-boy ice hockey player from cold country; she's a chestnut-haired beauty and popular high school senior.

The all-American teen twosome will make GOP vice presidential pick and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin a grandma at age 44 - just in time for Christmas.

Doe-eyed Bristol Palin, 17, and ruggedly handsome Levi Johnston, an 18-year-old self-described "f---in' redneck," have been dating a year, locals in Wasilla, Alaska, told the Daily News.

And the pregnancy? An open secret in the close-knit town of 9,780.

Bristol Palin, now a senior, was frequently seen cheering her young beau from the stands. Levi is also a senior.

from a link from your link--has pictures up from levi's sister's myspace page:

there is a pic of her (mercedes) holding the baby and underneath it says:
“My self and my new baby brother, TriggyBear:) Most adorable little man ever”

"????????????????????????????????????????????
http://cajunboy.tumblr.com/

and this from the above link:

“Mommy Inlaw, Trig and Myself“…from the Myspace page of a girl named Mercede, who happens to be the sister of the father of Bristol Palin’s baby. Are Bristol and Levi already married? Or is “Mommy Inlaw” just a term of endearment?

Springer: And now its time for my final thought.....if you daughter gets knocked up by a dumb, foul mouthed redneck who'd not ready for marraige, hates kids, and is likely only interested in your family's cash...you shouldn't pressure your daughter into marrrying him to save face for all your right wing, ultra conservative fanbase. Hey. maybe you should have taught her to use condoms to avoid this situation in the first place!
