Think of it this way: you might be 100% opposed to the use of handguns. However, if someone is shooting at you and you happen to find one handy, would you use it, or would you allow yourself to be shot "on principle?"

Palin was chosen to appeal to "Family Values" voters. When Palin's teenage daughter becomes pregnant it's a glorious blessed event. Anyone else's unwed teenage daughter gets pregnant it's due to loose morals and bad parenting. Palin strongly advocates abstinence only birth control and non-graphic abstinence only sex education. It IS an issue and shows the hypocrisy this woman is capable of. Besides, she brought it up.

I also believe more attention should be paid to Todd Palin's influence on Sarah's work. Why is he recieving executive memos that are being witheld by executive privilige? Why is he sitting in on the Governor's closed meetings? He is not employed by the state and was not elected. "But he's family!" Does that give him a free pass?

If Michelle were exerting an undue influence, I would want it looked at. If a Democratic abstinence only proponent (are there any?) had a teenage parent child (male or female), I would want THAT looked at!
