Sarah Palin Withdrawal Watch

posted on September 2, 2008 at 7:14 am

Mark Nickolas notes whispers about McCain removing Palin and writs, “Sometimes, it’s the questions being asked that are more important than the answers. … P.S. — By the way, there’s been a marginal uptick over at Intrade on Republican running mate futures on a few of the names on the short list when McCain picked Palin.”

1. A withdrawal would be disastrous for McLame's already fading chances.
Especially after the RNC takes place. Tickets never recover when a withdrawal.

Then again, this is the American people we're talking about, who love every bit of bad news they get about Democrats but forgive and forget any Repuke scandal, gaffe or indiscretion.

2. I hope she stays on the ticket.
She takes away McCain's trump card - experience. And, I think she's dead-weight.

5. "Not going to happen...The Base Loves her"
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 08:34 AM by Dhalgren
That is why earlier I said that McCain's choosing Palin was the same as him throwing in the towel. The Republican base can not win the election - it is less than 25% of the electorate. If McCain was interested in winning he would be trying to draw independents and swing voters; the Palin choice will not draw independents. Her selection is just too goofy and too dumb. The Republicans have already lost the election and most of them know it...

4. For the Dem's sake
I hope she doesn't and remains oblivious to the damage she's doing her own cause.
