couch this argument into one of choice. The states and communities will have a "choice" in determining abortion issues. So...choice under their terms is ok but not under ours. Chris is right...she and the other "pro-lifers" in the Republican party want to take all choice away.

I remember a girl in my high school class...about the same age as Bristol who vanished from my bus stop one day. Rumors had circulated that she was "loose" and that she had become preggers and had gone to live with a relative in another state. I never saw the girl again...she dropped out of school and who knows what happened after that. This was in 1972.

It's amazing how the Palin defenders are saying how the "family did the right thing". Ya think Bristol had a choice here? And now she's gonna be forced to marry at 17 to save her mom's sorry ass? Dare we dig up the statistics of how long that marriage will last or the hardships Bristol is sure to face...we've heard from several DU'ers who were in a similar situation and it's not a pretty picture. I just think that if Bristol had been black and poor how she would be ripped apart by these same hypocrites.
