The stupidest line from David Brooks stupid NYT column.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/02/opinion/02brooks.html?ref=opinion
So my worries about Palin are not (primarily) about her lack of experience. She seems like a marvelous person. She is a dazzling political performer. And she has experienced more of typical American life than either McCain or his opponent.

So hunting caribou, and being Miss Wasillia is more typical than working in the South Side of Chicago?

Wanker!

2. "typical American" = white
Living in a large city is just as typical. McCain being born into wealth and marrying into more of it has not lead anything like a typical life.

3. "typical?" that age-old codeword for "white and suburban?"
it's even funnier because it still doesn't quite apply in her case...

4. I don't believe her experience allows her to serve as trustee of the local board of education.
It's an insult to both McCain and Obama not only equate her experience ("of a typical American") with theirs, but to also say it supersedes theirs.

Wow. Just wow.

5. One more thing
I do not want a "typical" American in the White House. I want a superlative American. (Like...say... Barack Obama.)
