Rove: Bush Had Foreign Policy Experience Because Texas Is Near Mexico

http://www.newshounds.us/2008/09/02/rove_bush_had_foreign_policy_experience_because_texas_is_near_mexico.php

<snip>

As Rove tried to change the subject to Obama’s lack of experience, Colmes said, “Karl, Obama has more foreign policy experience than George Bush had when Bush became president.”

“Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no,” Rove answered vehemently. “George Bush was governor of Texas having to deal with the Mexican border.”

Hannity taunted, “(Colmes) can’t get over it, eight years ago.”

Rove said, “It’s sad, it’s sad.”

Not as sad as Eagleton's Palin’s candidacy is going to look before long.

2. Som according to that logic, we can only elect someone who comes from a state bordering either
Mexico or Canada?

6. Karl Rove officially became a parody of himself with that one
The idea that a state governor has foreign policy experience because he lives next to Mexico or Russia is the silliest thing I've heard in politics since the idea that the Vice President isn't a member of the executive branch.

I guess Canada isn't a foreign country because no one mentions that the governor of Maine has foreign policy experience.
