3. They're obviously going to get sued, but it will be long after the convention is over |
|
So far the MSM has kept this bullshit hidden from the public. Three more days and they've done their job for the GOP perfectly.

4. Why does this abuse happen and THEN there is reaction? |
|
What I'm saying, or trying to is:
200 people + get pushed against a wall, have their cameras and stuff taken, some are bloodied, most are arrested, and there are breakins without warrants, and after its done, and the intimidation has taken place,THEN the lawyers come in and promise there will be @#% to pay..
Why not reverse it? Let there be laws or reaffirmation of the existing laws such that police and Blackwater know if they do x, y an z, they get jailed themselves with mandatory detention of six months before a trial, etc.
The "I'll burn the toast and you scrape it" method is letting a lot of people get pushed around, bloodied, and arrested for no reason.
imho.

5. There ARE existing laws against that kind of treatment. The problem is |
|
there are at least SOME reporters who claimed that the cops were responding to violence...people throwing rocks. I heard several reporters state that on TV today. NOT Fox either! IF that's true, the cops were justified in going after the rock throwers. As far as the lawyers entering the picture after the fact, they can't make charges against anyone before they do something against the law!
I agree, the cops went way overboard in St. Paul, and the lawyers WILL file charges against them, or maybe already have filed them.
I suspect the people you really SHOULD be upset with are the RNC leaders who instructed security to get rough!
