General polling data isn't worth as much as some think...
...Not only is there precedent from the previous two elections that polls aren't necessarily reflective of what happens in November, but the sheer number of votes don't matter. What counts is where those votes are.

As long as we have the electoral college, the only pre-election polling that matters is state-by-state polling. Ask Al Gore.

It doesn't. In fact, the RW use it in very skillful ways to manipulate liberals.
