Technical question: If Palin drops out after being nominated by the party at its convention |
|
How exactly would the GOP nominate a replacement? Are there legal requirements to be on the ballot?
Enquiring minds want to know.

3. Did Eagleton drop out after the convention? |
|
I was 14 in '72 and I don't remember whether Shriver gave a speech at the convention or if the VP nominee was still Eagleton at that point.

and Shriver was his replacement. I was 13 at the time, not sure how that was handled. It happened just a day or two after the convention.
