Do Many Thousands of Us Need To Converge on St. Paul Right Now?
Old (51) and gimpy (bad knee) as I am, I'm inclined to believe that if the cops are thumping and jailing journalists and other noncombatants in St. Paul, then the only place for people of conscience is on wrong end of Twin Cities riot batons and jail cells.

Talk is cheap. Either one believes in Gandhian nonviolent civil disobedience with one's body, or one doesn't really believe in it at all.

I can be in The Cities in 6-8 hours.

Am I getting carried away here, or have things reached the point at which people of conscience need to dispense with bullshit, get to The Cities NOW and put our arses on the line?

1. I understand and sympathize with you.
At 59 I'm still hitting the streets against this administration and its war for oil. But I do think we had best spend our time getting Obama elected.

2. The People, United, Will Never Be Defeated.
Civil action is the only real discourse available for The People against the corporofascist media complex.

4. I could be there in about 6 hours
Except for one thing. I have a job and they expect me to be there. Imagine the nerve! I suppose if you have the time, go for it. But we really should concentrate on getting Obama and the other progressive candidates elected.

6. Ernie would say
"Let's play two!". He would also likely say, "Go to work".
