Am testing the chrome beta. DU is smoking fast with it.

1. I've been checking it out too

However, the first thing I noticed were all the ads on DU. I've gotten so used to Firefox with the "Adblock" plugin, that I can't imagine viewing pages with all the ads intact.

3. it needs a sidebar history instead of the tab

and I like to customize the look of web pages. In Firefox, one check in a box allows me to view every page I open with my font and color preferences. I can't stand the blue script.

5. I'm spoiled by opera but for sheer browsing speed on boards this is great

I also like the speed dial-y most visited thiumbs feature. I use that a lot in other browsers

6. Thanks for the link. I dont use ad blockers so I am not going to see any more

than I usually do, and will only test it for boards, so the update aspect doesn't worry me.

Thats content stuff is weird though.....

That's like saying DaVinci's gets free rights to reproduce any painting anyone does using their brushes, in one of their ads, free of compensation.

With the drive to get people adjusted to the idea of the "creative class" where we'll all be earning our keep from our mental capacities, I guess it shouldn't be surprised.

OTOH, you get something for free, don't you.
