The AIP, one of the most successful third parties in the United States, has received a welcoming message for their State Convention from none other than Republican Governor Sarah Palin. No doubt this is the handywork of one of Palin's close friends and political mentors Wally Hickle. It was Hickle who served one term in the early 1990s as Governor, having been elected on the AIP ticket. In the video Ms. Palin emphasizes Hope for Liberty and Constitutional principles.

It should be noted, that the former 2-term Wasila Mayor, was a guest speaker at aleast two meetings of the Alaska Libertarian Party a year before her election as Governor. She also publicly thanked the Libertarian Party for her election at the downtown Anchorage Egan Center in front of thousands, immediately after she had won.

Todd Palin Was Registered Member of Alaska Independence Party Until 2002
By Kate Klonick - September 2, 2008, 3:25PM
The McCain camp today disputed rumors that presumptive vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was ever registered with the secessionist Alaska Independence Party by releasing years of voter registration history . . . but it looks like that doesn't apply to her husband.

This afternoon, the director of Division of Elections in Alaska, Gail Fenumiai, told TPMmuckraker that Todd Palin registered in October 1995 to the Alaska Independence Party, a radical group that advocates for Alaskan secession from the United States.

Besides a short period of a few months in 2000 when he changed his registration to undeclared, Todd Palin remained a registered member of AIP until July 2002 when he registered again as an undeclared voter

1. Palin comments on what she wants to see when it comes to the VP position.
Quote
"I’m used to being very productive and working real hard and

in administration. We want to make sure that the V.P. slot

would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans

and for the things that were trying to accomplish up her for

the rest of the us before I can even start addressing that

question."

4. This doesn't rise to the level
of collaborating with Nazis like the BFEE, so I'm not sure she's qualified to be on the GOP ticket.
