"government spending has doubled since 1980"
According to Romeny, this is an argument for voting for a Republican President.

So between 1980 and 2008 we had a Democratic President for 9 out of those 28 years. Seems like it was three Republican Presidents who were responsible for most of that increased government spending.

1. Exactimundo. Made the same point in another thread just a minute
ago.
What a lying sack of shit. And the idiots in the crowd are either clueless or equally dishonest.

2. Frankly
if it only doubled over a 30 year period, that isn't too bad, considering population growth, etc.

I'm struck by the lack of specifics, the standard Big Spending Liberal and high taxes bs; that's the best they've got?
