Poll question: My take on Failin' Palin's speech.
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 11:13 PM by ColbertWatcher
First off, she was presumptuous by accepting the nomination, before the roll call.

Nevertheless, I watched the whole thing, she reminded me of Nicole Kidman as Suzanne Stone Maretto in "To Die For"

Suzanne Stone Maretto: You're not anybody in America unless you're on TV.
On TV is where we learn about who we really are.
Because what's the point of doing anything worthwhile if nobody's watching?
And if people are watching, it makes you a better person. IMDb

Now my review of her speech: she spent the vast majority of the first portion of her speech introducing her family; the rest waiting for the applause to stop.

The last part of her speech was repeating one lie per talking point:

* I am a reformer

* I am an outsider

* I cut the budget

I didn't catch any "secret evangelical language", but maybe someone else did.

My poll question is:
Is this a fair assessment of the speech?
