Weird reference tonight from Palin, comparing herself to Truman
A little known VP, but a great American yadda yadda yadda. Does anybody else find it more than creepy that she made this comparison to VP who took over after a president died, especially since McCain is old and a cancer survivor?

3. Wasn't Truman a Democrat?
Well, it's not like the Republicans have anyone in their recent history (say, the last 100 years or so) worthy of mentioning.

4. She has to pick one of ours.. who's she gonna pick one of THEIRS?
Consider Post WWII GOP Veeps:

Richard Nixon
Spiro Agnew
Gerald Ford
Nelson Rockefeller
George H.W. Bush
Dan Quayle
Dick Cheney

Well I suppose she could have picked Gerald Ford or Nelson Rockefeller but moderate conservatives are so out of vogue in the GOP.

Our Veeps are SO much better than theirs:

Truman
LBJ (yes there's the Vietnam War but he also passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act and a lot of social legislation..)
Walter Mondale
Al Gore Jr.

Who would you pick if you were her?

Doug D.

5. I've been saying this since he picked her
she will find a way to knock him off. they think they are using her -- it's the opposite. she will do to them what she did to her republican friends in alaska who helped her start her career there. eat them alive.

even rove won't see it coming -- she's a woman, after all...and they're not used to a woman with ambitions like she has.

Oh, god -- I don't know if I can live here if she gets anywhere near wh, the only saving grace would be waiting for the moment she took them all out.
