Military equipment moves

We are seeing a steady flow of heavy military trucks and other such vehicles moving North on I-5 from CA into Southern Oregon. Anyone know why or what's up?

I'll add that precisely what we are seeing is that these vehicles are on flatbed trucks. Some were noticed over the weekend while my wife commuted to work, and we saw more today when we had to drive to Medford. We saw them as we headed north in the morning, and we saw more this evening as we headed home. Today alone we saw about 6 such vehicles.

2. could be practically anything

for example the Oregon National Guard returning from a rotation at the NTC in southern California. That's one possibility, there are literally dozens of others. I wouldn't attribute anything sinister to it without more information.
