So, is anyone going to actually DO anything about the police in MN?
I mean, has anyone spoken of pressing charges or anything like that? Especially the reporters who were arrested. It's all so gross that I'd hate there not to be some legal action... something that CAN'T be ignored.

5. Democracy Now
Amy Goodman was obviously upset in the footage, and I think if anything come from it, it will be from them.

2. It'll be like the RNC in New York
two years from now the County and City will settle a bunch of lawsuits with the remains of the terrorism money they got from Bush. The MSM will ignore the whole thing and America will continue to yawn it's way into oblivion.

3. Remember that especially the press has to still cover the rest of
the convention. There will be a lag.

6. But, isn't there constitutional protection?
The press should refuse to cover anything else until they can be gauranteed safety. Just put your cameras down and say, "fuck you then."

9. Yes.The gunowners are charged with proctecting the public under the 2nd amendment. I posted this to
the Guns forum with no response except for gunowner hiding behind his gun closet accusing me of a criminal act for even mentioning it. This is one more reason I am going go after them, along with millions of other people, to get the guns out of their hands. Biden will be a big help as he doesn't want guns in the hands of idiots like this either.

19. Armed citizens defending their right to honest government: 1946, The Battle of Athens
"On 2 August 1946, some Americans, brutalized by their county government, used armed force to overturn it."
http://www.constitution.org/mil/tn/batathen.htm

However, like all armed revolutions, it must begin with a redress of grievances. Spell out what should have happened, what did happen, and why that was unacceptable; then you let the legal system decide based on the facts. Repeat until desired results are achieved or until you have a contingent of armed citizens willing to stand behind their position.

11. I don't imagine Amy Goodman will let this go.
There will be follow-up, but the public at large think the cops only respond with appropriate measures, even though there are many documented cases of them abusing authority. I should say, systematically abusing authority, bad apples theory be damned.

So expect lawsuits, after the fact, when the mainstream press is long gone.

13. The corporate media was caught up in it, too. An AP photographer,
a reporter for the New York Post. Amy as only one member of the press that was abused in this way.

Unfortunately, that would mean the executive branch.

And they're not interested.

22. Was watching that video of the protesters
at the St Paul Mayors office. It was stated that Congressman Keith Ellison and Congresswoman (I think it was) Betty McCollum will be calling for an investigation of the police action there. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x3924766

21. Well, I'm going to avoid going to Minnesota
adding it to my list of states that I refuse to spend a dime in.

I'm painting myself into a corner here, 'cause the list is getting longer.
