Although I live in a big city now, I was born in a "quiet little redneck town" ...
... and spend significant parts of my life there. You know, one of these places with "Support our Troops" and "Bush/Cheney" signs all over the place and one church per every five houses.

And I must say, I have never ever seen as fucked up family conditions as in that place. It seemed as if everyone was having an affair with someone else, people settled their marriage disputes out on the streets, children were abused by their parents and what not. But of course, things like gay marriage were a big no no. And abortions of course were too, despite the fact that in every other family somebody had one.

I don't want one of these people to be in charge of the country.

1. Reminds me of this quote:
This is just a little Peyton Place and you're all Harper Valley hypocrites. :silly:

2. Palin's family gives Peyton Place...
a run for it's money. I wonder how long it will be before they start resembling Plato's Retreat.

:hi:

actually up here, for all the rednecks, of which I am one (yes, all the way down to the dead vehicle in the yard....) I have seen 1 mcsame poster, the rest are all Obama, and the only stickers for mcsame that I see are from out of state. I see tons of Obama stickers on the road.

5. I've seen plenty of Obama stickers here in San Antonio, one McCain yard sign and no bumper stickers.
