Uh oh! Nancy Reagan is gonna open up a HUGH can of Whupass!
"Political figures like this don't come along very often. And heaven knows Republicans haven't seen anyone like Palin emerge from their ranks since Ronald Reagan first attracted national attention in 1964. That's a long time to wait. They've been starved for a leader with charisma and a knack for leadership. Now they have one."

Fred Barnes is trippin! And by even coming close to comparing that classless hussy

to her dear Ronnie, Nancy may just politely bitch slap that hussy unconscious.

Nancy recognizes trash. I didn't like Reagan, but he never seemed anywhere close to this shit!

3. Fred Barnes is one of the "always wrong" pundits.
He and Kristol seem to be the king and queen of 180-degrees-wrong analyses. Funny, they're both on Fox "News".

5. Wow--nobody knew who this person was last week, now she's the seventh reincarnation
of Reagan in the past year--I thought Fred Thompson was still Reagan? I even heard that Romney was the new Reagan. I guess McLoon must be insanely jealous this morning, he's been sucking dead Reagan dick for years to no avail. The only connection I can see between Miss Snotface and Reagan is an out-of-control pack of kids.

6. Ron Reagan Jr. said...
“John McCain and my mother have known each for years and years. Her parents, and Cindy McCain’s parents go way back in Phoenix, Arizona. She’s grateful to John McCain for standing with her on the issue of stem cells and, of course, has officially endorsed him. She’s fine with John McCain, as I said, they’ve been friends for a long time."

“I can tell you though that she’s also very impressed with Barack Obama...she’s just impressed by his demeanor, is not just that he’s an eloquent guy and a guy who gives a good speech, a lot of people said that about my father too. But she sees through that. She’s been around a long time and she looks at Barack Obama and she sees the words, hears the words and she perceives character there. She thinks this is a good guy, a guy who means well and is a strong character,” Reagan said.

And Ron, who has rarely shared the political perspective of his parents, had this to say about Sarah Palin, “Sarah Palin is in no way qualified to be vice president or certainly president. John McCain is a 72 year old cancer survivor, not just any cancer, melanoma. Not just any melanoma, melanoma above the neck. It was his obligation to choose somebody who could realistically step into the big chair and Sarah Palin is not that person.”

8. The part rarely told:
When McSenile dumped his first wife, who The Reagans and others in their circle loved greatly, they were shocked and appalled at McDepend's behavior. He was cast out and shunned. The Reagans and their close circle them reached out to Carol, set her up with a lot of assistance and a house and helped he rebuild her life.

There is quite the background of personal enmity in all of that, hidden below the rhetoric.

9. Here's some more background:
<snip>
Carol McCain was distraught at being blindsided by her husband's intention to end their marriage, said her friends in the Reagan circle.

"They weren't happy with him," Fitzwater said. Carol McCain "was this little, frail person. . . . She was brokenhearted."

By that time, Nancy Reagan had come to Carol McCain's aid, hiring her as a press assistant in the 1980 presidential campaign.

When the Reagans moved to Washington, she was named director of the White House Visitors Office.

"Nancy Reagan was crazy about her," Reynolds said. "But everybody was crazy about Carol McCain. . . . And the Meeses were very generous and helpful and comforting to her."

11. Will she even be aware of this?
Anyone know how to bring this article to the attention of Ron Jr.?

Can you imagine if Nancy Reagan were to speak out against the McCain Palin ticket and in favor of Obama Biden? Freeper heads would be exploding. The pundits would be stuck with two bad choices - leaving her statement unchallanged, or attacking the widow of their icon.

I doubt that she'd speak out, but wouldn't it be great?

12. I wouldn't underestimate Miss Nancy!
She is fiercely protective of dear Ronnie's legacy. She may find a way to

politely tell Miss Moose to STFU!

13. I asked the other night...where was she?
They showed the tribute to St. Raygun and not a single family member was there. That said volumes. She doesn't like Gramps and I hope she listens to her kids. Wouldn't it be a kicker if she endorses Senator Obama?

14. the reagans were appalled by these people
ronnie and the west coast republicans thought bush was the anti-christ and was forced to accept bush as vice president. ronnie was replaced as the president by the boys in the basement shortly after he was wounded. some of the comments that ron jr has said about his parents and their private beliefs are different than their public ones.

it is interesting that the rethugs never mention that ronnie was a fdr democrat when his dad and brother finally found steady jobs during the depression. he was a democrat until ,like a lot of democrats here, forgot where he came from.

15. GE Saved His Ass
Kinda reminds me of what happened to Timmeh and others at NBC. In the early 50's, St. Raygun was lucky to co-star with Chimps and he sold out to the corporates who saw him as an empty suit who could deliver a good speech.

I haven't seen much of Ron this election season and I heard that Michael wasn't invited since he has some legal troubles of his own...ooops

A link from Ron Paul...

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/52398

"Michael Reagan made pre-meditative assault/murder statements against anyone who promotes the questioning of the September 11th 2001 attacks on the twin towers and wtc7 and pentagon. Michael Reagan is promoting violence against anyone who has spoken of,and promotes the 9/11 critiques of the 9/11 commission report. Michael Reagan has openly suggested that he will buy the bullets for someone else to kill the promoters of 9/11 commission report critiques, and anyone who questions the events on 9/11. Michael Reagan should be tried with a class action lawsuit in a court of law in the United States of America for pre-meditative murder statements. The Network in which Michael Reagan works for should receive a class action lawsuit for passively permitting Reagans outrageous pre-medititave speech which advocates violence against anyone who peacefully challenges the 9/11 commission report. "

Is there a single GOOP family that isn't dysfunctional?

Cheers...
