Compare that to the soaring rhetoric, and the ebb and flow pattern of Gore's masterful speech last week, which I suspect he wrote HIMSELF. It was brilliant. I've been wanting to listen to his speech again, and Obama's, so that I can better appreciate just how well done they were.

I think it's common knowledge that Obama and Biden both have the intellect to write their own speeches even though they may sometimes collaborate with speech writers. Does anybody know if Sarah can do that herself?

but, yes, I was shocked by her strident tone last night. She's never, ever come across that way in a public appearance here that I've seen, probably because she depended too much on the Democrats and Independents to back her up against the powerful old-guard Republicans who have opposed her at every turn. A lot of us who have kind of given her the benefit of the doubt as governor were really surprised that we didn't see "nice" Sarah.

Seems fitting. Yes they brought her back, but, since you havent seen it yet, I won't spoil it for you. But the season finale was really really good! Vincent D'Onofrio is incredible as Goren. CI has become my favorite Law & Order series.
