It's apparent now what the GOP scheme is... |
|
...Palin will go on the attack all across the country but will be sheltered from the media so that her weaknesses can't be exploited.
The Democratic counter to such should be to beat them to the punch. Send Biden out to not only attack Palin on all the unsavory little tidbits from her time in Alaskan office--the nepotism, the vengeance, the ethics violations, the lobbyist, the earmarks, the pork, the book burnings, et al--but in the same breath tell the public the Republicans are afraid to have Palin come under Fourth Estate scrutiny. "What is she hiding?"
The GOP reflex will be to stage another friendly "press event" like the ones they used to such success with W. However, if Biden can call their bluff before the get the show underway, tell America she's afraid to answer questions unless the press is handpicked for bias, it can counter their move before they take that step.
They are going to have to be proactive, not reactive, with Palin and force that cockroach into the light of day.
Keep Obama trained on McCain, let Biden eviscerate Palin.

That was the plan before McFailin was picked. No need to change that now, and they seem to be sticking to that plan.
