What do True Conservatives think about being equated to Evangelicals?

Reading the articles floating around, and the rumor/accusation that Dobson vetted Palin, and re-energizing the 'base' (being anti-choice only)...

It seems that Conservative = Evangelical and Evangelical = Conservative.

Are there NO Fiscally conservative, socially moderate Conservatives anymore?
If so, why aren't they speaking up and trying to retake their party?
If they're not invited to the party anymore, where are there 3rd party? (I dont think Barr qualifies).

Fiscal conservatism died with the election of Reagan. It's all corporate whores and fundies.
