Rush: "Community Organizer” Is National Joke (Satire)

I sat down with Rush at his favorite Travel Agency/Cigar Shop/Viagra, Oxycontin Store to talk to him about his take on Palin and Obama. When I arrived he was already seated in a very large chair with beads of sweat rolling down his jowls, despite the air conditioning. There was a crystal ashtray on the small glass table and a poster on the wall of The Passion of the Christ that kept diverting his attention. He agreed to this rare interview on the condition that we meet at his house.
“Thank you for giving me your time, I know how busy you are,” I said while shaking something that felt like wet bread dough in a pouch. “It’s known that despite being in the public’s eye you’re very shy when it comes to opening up for interviews.”
“That’s bullshit! Where’d you hear that, you libural commie?” Rush said while sucking deeply on an unlit cigar. He seemed to be turning a light shade of pink before my eyes and I detected the slightest tremor going through his body. “You liberals are all the same! Accusing me before you know the facts!”
“Alright then,” I said firmly, “two questions. One, why don’t you do interviews? And two, what makes you think I’m a liberal? We haven’t even spoken yet.”
“Because you don’t listen to the show, fokes! That’s how I know you’re a liberal – you leftist, pinko, scum! If you listened to my show you’d know I hate people; and that’s why I don’t do interviews.” He had gone from a calm meditative state when I arrived, to a mood that would best be described as something between rage and sexual excitement. I had a feeling that those two emotions were very closely linked in this man.
“Alright, alright,” I said. “ Can we calm down? I really wanted to ask you how you could denigrate public service and community organizing like you have?”
“Because I hate people!” Now get out!”
I backed out as fast as I could without running. He was standing up and staring intently into the poster of The Passion of the Christ and going into orgasmic shivers.
I had all I needed.

Almost passed this one up, since I normally turn away from anything to do with Limbaugh (among others), and am also an Obama supporter.

I am glad I stopped in and even read the first sentence. At first, seeing the words 'travel agency/cigar shop/viagra, oxycontin shop' strung together didn't strike me as peculiar. I think they describe him in a nutshell, except the politics, and craziness, and biliousness.... well, you get the idea. I had to let the words stand as written to get that it is humor, which kept me reading.

I am glad I did.
