1. Hang on to the dishes! That's gotta be scary.
Hope that's all and nothing bigger comes behind it.

3. Please keep the noise down out in CA!
We're busy trying to have some hurricanes on the East Coast...

and FEMA (and America) would be so screwed if we had a Hurricane Ike hit in the South, Tropical Storm Hanna rakes the eastern seaboard, NOLA is still recovering from Gustav and THEN the big earthquake hits CA!

Somebody call Hollywood and get me a script writer!

Orlando, FL

12. Felt it here in Marin County (North of San Francisco)
Husband and I were sitting there talking about scary Sara Palin and the election while watching the Giants game and we felt it pretty strong.

I don't worry too much since we rebuilt our house and its a wood frame house on a concrete foundation with piers and footings and steel sheer walls etc. But its freaky when you are sitting there and feel the rolling movement of your house rattling. Nothing fell or any damage, but it lasted less than a minute and made us stop talking....

14. I felt it in Oaktown
No damage, just a really fun shake.

Seriously, I'd rather deal with the quakes than the fires any day.

18. I doubt this one caused
any injuries. It happened about 15-20 miles from here. Probably strong enough to know some stuff off of shelves but not much more.

At least here it was more like :wtf:
