Palin to be 'trained' - sent "Back to Alaska"

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/Back_to_Alaska.html

Howard Fineman reported tonight (and I heard something similar) that Sarah Palin will, after a brief stretch on the trail, head back to Anchorage and away from the national media.

"They're basically taking Palin back to Alaska," said Fineman, citing a senior McCain campaign official.

Fineman's source (and mine) said she'd spent much of the time between now and the middle of next week (when her son leaves for Iraq) straightening her affairs, tending to her official duties and packing her bags — having departed abruptly for the national stage. She also seems unlikely to do many major media interviews between now and then, and the campaign seems to feel no urgency about putting her on the Sunday shows.

The campaign will "also use the plane time and time on the ground to begin the education of Sarah Palin," Fineman said. "They want to take that pause to train."

1. If she doesn't know by now, no ammount of training will help.
Pathetic and desperate.

3. Lieberman is Palin's "Foreign Affairs" Coach
Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman is briefing Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on foreign policy issues as she prepares to hit the campaign trail while cramming for a debate with her Democratic opponent, Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (Del.), in less than a month, according to officials from Sen. John McCain's campaign.

7. I learned many years ago the hard way that you can't cram for a
serious exam. This next 2 months is not like being at a college you can drop out of.

10. But she will learn to parrot a few right wing talking points...
and use them in response to every question. You have seen Bush Junior do this a million times.

8. I don't recall Joe Biden taking time to brief on Barack's positions.
He hit the ground running, more than glad to speak to the press.
I don't think Palin's dumb, I think she's a loose cannon poised to go off in the wrong direction, threatening to sink the ticket.

Although it may be wise to put her on ice for a while, cameras are the opiate of presidential campaigns. "Out of sight / Out of mind" never won an election.

That means two more weeks of boring McCain stump speeches, my friends.

12. She has to memorize the talking points and sound bites that
will be accepted by the media as answers to the complex questions they ask her.

17. She's just like Bush.. remember how averse to interviews he was?
She's the stealth candidate..we are not going to tbe allowed to know much about her except:

she's a governor of a state with a surplus (oil)
she's got a handicapped baby that she chose to not abort
she's a christian
she's a looker
she's got cute kids & a handsome husband

that's about all we are likely to know about her before the election, folks..

and if enough of the "base" shows up in hopes that Grampa croaks soon after winning, they WILL find a way to steal this thing.. remember what's on the line for them..

We have still not seen Reagan's papers
or Poppy's

There are a lot of "bodies" to be buried
