Because one would think had God "supported" the illegal invasion of Iraq, most churchers, at least American ones, would have also supported bUsh's illegal invasion of Iraq, as presumably they'd know even better than Palin what God's feelings are on the subject.

But funny, here's what the FACTS are:

Christian Leaders to Bush: Reconsider Plans to Invade Iraq
Fifty-one heads of American Protestant and Orthodox churches and organizations and of Roman Catholic religious orders today announced opposition to U.S. military action against Iraq.

"the U.S. Conference of the World Council of Churches apologized for the U.S. government's foreign policy, saying that religious leaders lament with special anguish the war in Iraq, "launched in deception and violating global norms of justice and human rights."

Mormon church makes anti-war statement

At the Vatican: Archbishop Renato Raffaele Martino, a former U.N. envoy and current prefect of the Council for Justice and Peace, told reporters that war against Iraq was a preventive war and constituted a "war of aggression"

On February 8, 2003, Pope John Paul II said "we should never resign ourselves, almost as if war is inevitable."

Both the outgoing Archbishop of Canterbury, George Carey, and his successor, Rowan Williams, spoke out against war with Iraq.

The executive committee of the World Council of Churches, an organization representing churches with a combined membership of between 350 million and 450 million Christians from over 100 countries, issued a statement in opposition to war with Iraq, stating that "War against Iraq would be immoral, unwise, and in breach of the principles of the United Nations Charter."

I guess like George W. bUsh, Sarah Palin hears directly from God him/herself what God does and doesn't support.
