I had high hopes that Bush would unintentionally kill off the desire for any & all theocracy
here in the USA, but the multi headed curse is so embedded that even the obvious stupid policies of Bush seem to have no effect on the extreme faithful. Even though the support for these policies largely came from the extreme faithful, these people can't see that they are the us in the Pogo quote.

If Mc same and Palin win you can expect another giant step in the wrong direction regarding the theocracy issue. Plus the notion that war solves problems. Just because the Bible says "There will be wars and rumors of wars" don't prove we can't do better.
