I don't care if it's true or not - Palin will spend the next 60 days trying to defend herself and denying it

2. I don't understand the high school part
I understand that she was not in Wasilla High allegedly because of mono. How does she end up in West Anchorage High then? If she were too ill to go to Wasilla, wouldn't she be too ill to go to West Anchorage High? Also, wouldn't people see her in West Anchorage High? Did she look pregnant? Who did she live with while attending West Anchorage High?

Also, where did the car accident occur?

I don't mean to pester you with questions but I'm also curious about things. Something is not quite right here but DU apparently does not want us to following this up.

When I heard about the girl being pulled from Wasilla and sent to West Anchorage, I wondered whether this was an attempt to break up the young lovers.

11. Is this the aunt who was married to the trooper Palin wanted fired?
If Bristol was actually in a different high school, this would indicate there's something wrong with the mono story.
Who was it that talked about a wicked web of deceit?

15. In general it's not considered kosher to put kids in schools in districts where they do not live..
I know this happens quite a bit, but generally one has to tell at least white lies to get a kid into a school in other than their home district.

I have no idea what the arrangements are in Alaska but it would be interesting to see whether Bristol Palin was legally entitled to go to a school other than Wasilla HS.

16. What I don't understand is how they farm around their kids.
Bristol and Track went to how many high schools each? At least two each--Trig in Wasilla and then here in Portage (though I've never read that he actually graduated) and Bristol in Wasilla and then in Anchorage. Did they start out in Juneau, though, so their dad (supposedly a stay-at-home dad at the beginning of her term as governor) could raise them? How much have they been moving those poor kids around?!

17. Trig -- did you mean Track?
I think Trig is the baby and Track is the eldest son.
Do you know anything about Track being prosecuted for vandalizing school buses? The same rumor also said that he had the choice of jail or the army.

Good point about the different schools. How can they learn when they're being moved around like this?

45. Oops. My bad. Yeah, Track.
Ltte in my local paper today said everyone is picking on Palin for this when they shouldn't and that no one's been asking about Obama's kids and how they're being raised. Um, yeah they have. I remember people asking here when he started running, and I clearly remember Fox and other right-wingers mentioning it.

At least the Obamas are raising their kids themselves instead of sending them to other families to take care of.

5. Here's some interesting links!
"Good start - but you did leave off some of the most puzzling info! 1. For example, this early February 2008 picture from the Alaska Daily news (http://www.adn.com/politics/story/339576.html) when she was in theory five-six months pregnant. 2. The extended podcast of her walking crisply from her house to her office at six-seven months pregnant. (http://alaskapodshow.com/index.php/2008/08/30/sarah-palin-pregnancy-scandal/) She doesn't look or act pregnant, and the filming crew didn't see that she was pregnant. 3. The videotape of her at a Newsweek conference in March 2008 (seven months pregnant), where she similarly does not look like (or stand up like) she's remotely pregnant (http://www.newsweek.com/id/156190 go to #8, especially last 30 seconds) 4. The photo of her at the National Governors Association conference in late February 2008 (don't have the link to the photo at the moment, but she looks very trim). 5. The uniformly disbelieving reactions of Alaskans (including her own staff) to her pregnancy announcement in early March 2008, as reported at the time bby the Alaska Daily News (http://www.adn.com/front/story/336402.html). 6. This March 14, 2008 photo of her published in the Alaska Daily News (seven months), again, showing her as very trim. (http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/345168.html) 7. And, the very warm family pictures posted by Sadie (boyfriend Levi's sister) on Sadie's myspace page, where Sadie is cradling baby Trig, and speaking of Trig and Bristol as members of Sadie's own family. (see http://flickr.com/photos/30128128@N04/sets/72157607061462256/ for a saved set of these photos). If your going to do a great, definitive timeline like this (thank you!), these items really need to be accounted for as well!

18. The water breaking seems the farthest stretch.
Did no one see the mess?

Were there any witnesses?

Are we needing to say she emptied a water bottle on the floor, say after getting a message from daughter. That's a stretch. Possible. But, a stretch.

19. Sometimes when your water breaks, it's not a big gush
But more like a trickle, which is how Sarah Palin described herself - as "leaking" amniotic fluid. Water bottles dumped on the floor are totally unnecessary.

Regardless, every pregnant woman (and many more besides) KNOW that when you are leaking any kind of fluid from the vagina during pregnancy, you get to the doctor asap. Not Sarah Palin however - she elects to persist in her agenda for that day, for many hours, during "her" high risk pregnancy (cough).... Even the flight attendants say that Palin didn't appear to be in any labor or discomfort on the many hours journey back to AK.

20. She didn't give birth
Any woman who has had four kids would "show" quickly on her fifth pregnancy. The body has a memory.

Also, any woman who has had four kids would have a very fast labor on her fifth! The baby should have come within an hour of her water breaking. No 26 hour labor for Palin. It doesn't jive with medical possibility.

A 44 year old woman who was pregnant is automatically undergoing a high-risk pregnancy and would be, if responsible, under special care by her obstetrician...unless she just didn't care.

57. I don't think her water 'broke' as such
but just started to leak, and this is not necessarily indicative of imminent delivery. I had the same with my second child (2 weeks early), and I was induced the next day. And even then, had a 14 hour labor, even though with my first child it was less than 3 hours. Not trying to defend her, but all pregnancies are different, and you just can't make blanket statments about what 'should' have happened. Even if it happened as she said, she is a very stupid and selfish woman.

30. Okay. The next stretch is doctors and staff keeping quiet.
But, they are protecting a high-school boy from a statutory rape charge, and a young girl from pregnancy stigma, with mom helping.

And, there is some insurance issue as I recall.

Seems like those people can stick to such a story. There could be falsification of records. Rather than face charges themselves they'd help to keep the certificate, records, and further investigation squelched.

BTW it is very Republican to criminally involve others.

Answering my own question.

I'm too tired.

Noonish - Gives keynote speech at governor's luncheon.

Later - Flies to Seattle, gets on a connecting flight to Anchorage.

10:30 pm (anchorage time) - She lands in Anchorage, then drives an hour to Wasilla to deliver.

Yes. In general, you're less fertile, but not infertile, while breastfeeding. Although you may not menstruate for months after giving birth, your body usually releases its first postpartum egg before you get your first period. So you won't know you've ovulated until two weeks later — when you menstruate. http://www.babycenter.com/404_can-i-conceive-while-nursing_7093.bc

And if he was premature, why the hell did Palin go back to work after only 3 days? Has she no motherly instincts?

38. 69% of voters believe that child to be Bristol's.

40. The public will never let this drop. Again, it's the cover-up that damages.
At a minimum, they were trying to cover up the fact that Bristol is pregnant.

42. Posted this on Facebook - Go Vanity Fair! The whole we're making a baby WHILE having mono hadn't
occurred to me either. So much doesn't add up. I feel sorry for Bristol on so many levels, however if her mother is covering this up it most certainly should come out, just as all the other stuff (bridge to no where yes/no/yes we'll keep the money anyway, trooper gate, book ban gate, etc., etc.) must.

51. After my first C-section
I vividly remember my doctor coming into my room and saying, "Let's talk about birth control." I was kind of surprised and told him so. That's when I learned that right after giving birth, women are very, very fertile and can get pregnant easily. Wonder how many 9-months-apart-siblings there are out there??

Trig is Bristol's first child, and she's working on her second. It makes absolutely no difference to me as long as the kids have everything they need as they're growing up. Oh, and that Barack wins in a landslide.

:toast:

62. That happened to my aunt
She believed the myth that you can't get pregnant when you breast feed and she got pregnant within a couple of months of having a baby.

61. This is totally tongue-in-cheek and a spoof of the Bristol as mom of Trig rumors -
- This article is satire. Let us not be the butt of this joke, okay???
