5. yes - on ebay once so I did not send the money -

I sendt emails and did not receive any reply and finally sent ebay a message I had not sent the money and then after a few days the negatives started to show up and then the person was banded and then email from another and a letter about fraud and the police were involved - I was so glad I followed my intuition and saved myself $300

The next time I did not get something I paid for which was $25, I have never bought on ebay again in the last 2 years

7. Swindled? Believing in the possiblity of freedom and equal opportunity for all?

Well, if I believed that the playing field was level, which I know it is not, and I woke up in the America of today...I'd feel swindled.

If I believed that we have achieved the dream of being a land where the content of one's character is assessed before the color of one's skin, and I read today about Sarah Palin's Sambo & the Bitch reference...I'd feel swindled.

If I believed that we have a manifest destiny to be a land set apart, the new Jerusalem, created to bring about the Kingdom of Heaven...and I turned and saw the exploitation of people the world over to keep our economy propped up so as to line the pockets of the multinational oligarchs who own it...I'd feel swindled.

But as it is, I'm already so disillusioned and disappointed that it's hard to find the place where hope might reside long enough to formulate itself into something that might possibly ever be swindled.

And besides, the ideal of freedom and the ideal of equal opportunity...it may not be the reality here, but it still can guide us, we the fleeced sheep, toward a better tomorrow.
