Wow, whats gotten into Condoleezza!
I'm glad she is finally starting to tell it like it is. Wouldn't be surprised if she was a closet Obama supporter.

Rice: Not enough blacks at State Department

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday there are too few black Americans in the State Department.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is greeted Monday by Stillman College President Ernest McNealey.

"I have lamented that I can go into a meeting at the Department of State -- and as a matter fact I can go into a whole day of meetings at the Department of State -- and actually rarely see somebody who looks like me. And that is just not acceptable," Rice said.

She was delivering the keynote speech at the annual Conference of the White House Initiative on National Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

"Like so many African-Americans who were fortunate enough to have the benefits of education and all the access that I have had, my story starts with parents and aunts and uncles, and indeed in my case a grandparent, who got their start at historically black colleges," Rice said.

She praised partnerships between federal government departments and agencies and black colleges.

Last year, such colleges received $5 million in scholarships and grants from the State Department for language training, study abroad and exchange programs.

"It's good for the students, but it is good for America, too," she said. "Because when I go around the world, I want to see black Americans involved in the promotion and development of our foreign policy. I want to see a Foreign Service that looks as if black Americans are part of this great country."

3. Too little too late
She acts like she just now all of a sudden has figured out she can go into a meeting at the Department of State -- go into a whole day of meetings at the Department of State -- and actually rarely see somebody who looks like her?

That doesn't pass the smell test.

4. I just have to wonder if she was once offered the VP slot as
incentive to keep her "carrying water" for this mis-administration.

Or, maybe she's just paying lip service to her audience.

Fuck you and the horse you rode in. You didn't dare say that in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007. There is no job for you in the Obama adminsitration. Go buy some shoes and fade into oblivion. You are a disgrace to women, black people, human beings and amoebae.

7. Her meal ticket is going bye-bye.
She's seen the writing on the wall for * and the others she's been keeping company with for the past 8 years. She is desperate to separate herself from them. This is just her desperately trying to revamp her image so she doesn't suffer the same fate. If she has changed her allegiance now, she should not be trusted. It may be genuine but she should know that her past actions will not be forgotten.

10. That is so hypocritical on so many levels
Republicans have been bitching since Johnson about Affirmative Action and money to help minorities attend college. It's been called special rights and even welfare by people who are basically bigots. One only has to look at the RNC to see that it's the party of rich, white people who want to keep every penny they ever earned or more likely inherited.

Fuck off Condi.

Pardon my language and no I won't edit it.

Their loss. I'd be much more afraid of a McCain/Rice ticket. Like it or not, that'd have the potential to win in an landslide if Obama slipped just a little.

I remember seeing/reading an interview with one of her professors. He said he never knew what her ideology was; she just morphed into whatever her superiors wanted. This is just her anticipating an Obama administration and morphing into what she thinks will help her fit in.

I think Condi finally realizes that she is a Black American among the Repuglican elite, they don't respect her and they undercut her. I also thinks she see's the world going to shit and she was at the helm. When history looks back of course they will blame * for many, many things but they will look back at her as the failed Black American Woman who had the opportunity to prevent another Cold War and the disaster in Iraq.

Too bad she was buying shoes while some of those potential black leaders drowned in New Orleans and the Gulf. (I am talking about all races and the poor)

27. Too bad the State Department has been run by House Ni**ers for so long.I'm sure it would have change
if anyone who actually cared about equal rights and opportunity had been in charge.

Hey, maybe if they had replaced the Derannged Chimp who was being controlled by non-humans with a human things, many things, would have been different.

Such a pathetic whiner.

A cynic would say she's seeing the writing on the wall and suddenly counts herself as black with her brethren instead of the privileged President's pet princess . If she wanted to see more blacks in high positions why did she work so hard against giving blacks equal opportunity to enroll in Stanford? She helped trash Affirmative Action.

I must be a cynic.
