About this whole "maverick" business...
Somebody explain why anyone would vote for a member of a party that claims to be against their own party, rather than someone in a completely different party?

Isn't the person in the different party really the true maverick?

{Whew - that hurt my head}

1. I don't get the whole "maverick" thing in the first place
McSame is a Bush** clone. How does that make him a "maverick" and where's the "change"?

2. Logic test:
If I've had salted peanuts, and I know I'm allergic to them, why would I try unsalted peanuts?

Why wouldn't I choose another snack altogether?

3. I bet they did call him that when he was drinking and drugging
and flunking his classes and dating strippers.

That was a long time ago.

4. Oh don't be "talkin' sense" now! Do you know how many more heads than your own
are gonna X-plode?

Oh, and, not to be the 'spelling police', but ehm .... according to certain attendees of the RNC who aren't afraid to be shown on camera, it's "mavrick". ;-)

6. The world does not need two Mavericks
controlling the US's nuclear arsenal. Especially one Maverick who may die in office and the other maverick an end timer. Sheesh.

Peace

10. Maverick is as maverick does. My Momma always said, life is like a box of chocolates ...
... everyone is trapped in their own tiny section just like POWs.

11. McCain may have been a maverick, but this year the GOP officially gelded him.
They clipped his nuts as a condition to allowing him to have the nomination.

14. This is their new "platform of change"
Edited on Tue Sep-09-08 04:10 AM by TWiley
Rove is working diligently to find a red herring whose hue creates the illusion of change. They are trying to separate themselves from the reality of their own failed Republican policies. No illogical strategy will be overlooked during this effort. The more illogical, the more though goes into it, and the less energy is used to investigate new meat.

President Palins foreign policy will merely be Big Oil's wish list. Her real relationship with this industry should be the story. Rove, Rice, Cheney, and ah yes ... Bush will come out of the smoke if it is investigated.

Daddy's "unfinished war" must not be cast into "junior's failed attempt". Oil and military interests are too powerful to let this happen.

Even CNN is broadcasting 24 hour infomercials disguised as news about John Mc Cain. I will vomit if I see one more take on Mc Sames war hero status. It is an insult to all seriously wounded soldiers to make such a fuss out of a single soldiers random experience.

A "rogue" acting on the outside like a hero gunslinger in a black and white western is what got this nation into such a terrible state. A child dressed as a cowboy and dancing in front of the television set is my image of george bush. They are trying to fit Mc Same into the same clothes.
