Why on earth doesn't our Party rip the heads off the Republicans?
I'm getting plain sick and tired of all this mister nice guy horseshit. Obama and particularly Biden should be out there ripping off heads and shitting down throats every time they see a Republican or any time they are asked any question about Republican policies or actions. Heaven knows they have given us all the evidence needed to go after them, heaven knows the American people love a good fight. They seem to forget that. People in this country react very nicely to candidates that stand up to their opposition and abandon those who don't - just ask John Kerry.

Biden, get your ass out there and eat a few Republicans alive; start with any one of them you like. Obama, quit smiling and start naming a turd what it is, a turd. When they lie call them liars. When the misrepresent straighten them out on the spot, and for goodness sakes when you have dirt get them fucking dirty!

1. Because the Dems play chess, while the Rs play war (and not just to win, but to kill)

2. Looks like the same failed strategy
that was in play in 2004. The Republicans throw out all kinds of stuff, and the Democrats react to it. In essence, they set the agenda and we are on the defense, not the offense. I hope Biden will throw some fire into this campaign. Gentlemanly speeches and polite decorum won't resonate with the public. Unfortunately.

3. I have to believe they (Obama and Biden) know what they are doing.

Surely they haven't forgotten the John Kerry lack of response that handed the White House to Bush for another 4 years. And surely they remember quite clearly the events that disregarded the popular vote and made many votes worthless in 2000...

So, I'm just hoping that they're waiting for the right time to attack back.

With a war based on HUNDREDS of lies, that has killed thousands of our troops, they have a lot to work with. Plus the bad economy, unemployment, high gas prices, high food prices, lack of health care, government waste, etc.

I'd like to see this for an ad:

Images of war, newspaper headlines of banks failing, images of people pumping $4.89 gas into their cars, a TV anchor talking about how much the war in Iraq costs us every week, etc. Basically tragic images that indicate the reality we live with in America today. And at the end:

AMERICA TODAY.

High unemployment.
Outsourced jobs.
Record deficits.
A war based on lies.
Thousands of dead troops.
High gas prices.
High food prices.
Foreclosures.
Millions without health care.

THIS IS LIFE IN AMERICA TODAY.

Brought to you by the Republican Party.

John McCain = George Bush

5. Really? Then why are their numbers going down?
Americans do not watch chess matches, they watch Professional wrestling, demolition derbies, and Extreme Fighting Championships.

7. The American public is very easily manipulated by the media..
They remind me of tots believing in Santa Claus because their parents lie to them and make them believe he's real year after year. The media wants it close, so close it will be.

8. Obama proved he knows how to plan and execute a campaign strategy in the primaries.
He beat a heavy favorite with a solid strategy and great execution. Campaigns are a balance of "good guy"/"tough guy". You have to prove you can be both to be an effective campaigner and to be an effective leader once elected. There is an element of timing in when to switch from one role to the other then back again. Good campaigners have a good sense of timing, bad campaigners do not.

I sense that Obama is not panicking over McCain's post-convention bounce in the polls. This is a 2-month battle now with the goal of being ahead on November 4, not on every day leading up to that date. There are plenty of examples of candidates that ending up losing big time who were ahead temporarily in the polls right after their conventions.

9. Biden is unlikey to attack McCain.
Last week Biden said this about McCain...

"If John McCain picked up the phone today and said, Joe, I need you to get in a plane and fly out to Missoula, I can’t tell you why, I’d get in a plane and I’d go. And I believe he’d do it for me."

10. I don't know.....I have a little bit of faith that they know what they're doing.
But then I remember that we've lost the last two elections because we sat back and did nothing.
