I'm getting a little discouraged right now and want something to lighten my spirits a little.

I hope its something good. What is big news to some may not be big news to the MSM.

So is there anymore info on that from last night?

I hear he saved a ton of money by switching his car insurance to GEICO.
Don't bet on it. We hear shit like this all the time and it NEVER amounts to anything.

3. No new info that I've seen. I'm betting it's involving Vicki Iseman--IF the poster
wasn't just full of doody. I'm still skeptical.

9. Coudl it be this?

On Wednesday night, an otherwise obscure telecommunications lobbyist by the name of Vicki Iseman was thrust into the media and campaign spotlight, after a New York Times story suggested that she and Sen. John McCain had a close relationship that may have been romantic.

had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client's corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself -- instructing staff members to block the woman's access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

In late 1999, Ms. Iseman asked Mr. McCain's staff to send a letter to the commission to help Paxson, now Ion Media Networks, on another matter. Mr. Paxson was impatient for F.C.C. approval of a television deal, and Ms. Iseman acknowledged in an e-mail message to The Times that she had sent to Mr. McCain's staff information for drafting a letter urging a swift decision.

Mr. McCain complied. He sent two letters to the commission, drawing a rare rebuke for interference from its chairman. In an embarrassing turn for the campaign, news reports invoked the Keating scandal, once again raising questions about intervening for a patron.

10. The NYT never did follow up on this, that's why I think if there's
a scandal involving McLoon, this is the most likely. Kept waiting for the other shoe to drop on this story, but it never did--and who knows where Iseman went.

From her office windows, Vicki Iseman ’90 has a great view of Washington, D.C. The Indiana native is one of the youngest people in the lobbying firm of Alcalde and Fay and one of its most senior partners.

24. That was a stupid story
just speculation and innuendo.

Considering how the Republicans and the media have gone all hypocritic about teen pregnancy Ijust don't see anyone getting all that upset if it comes out McCain did sleep with her. Big wow.

It will be considered a private matter best left to the family.

4. I wouldn't believe every rumor you hear. I heard the same thing about Obama.
Someone came to an liberal meeting in my town and said they personally knew about info that would come out that was VERY negative about Obama and would destroy him. It hasn't happened yet. I REALLY hope that person was lying and the DU person is telling the truth. But, my gut feeling is people like to make mischief.

8. Anything short of McStupid getting arrested or caught in a bathroom stall I think won't make a...
difference in the minds of American voters.

It boggles my mind, that this even close at all.

15. well...there is THIS- his son was on the audit board of a failed bank costing taxpayers $500million.
which might revive the 'keating five' stuff...?

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122089085654510439.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

...The move has potential political consequences. Until recently, Andrew McCain, the son of Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain sat on Silver State's board. The younger Mr. McCain, 46 years old, was a member of its three-person audit committee, which was responsible for overseeing the company's financial condition.

After five months on Silver State's board, Andrew McCain stepped down July 26, citing "personal reasons." Earlier that week, regulators had intensified their scrutiny of Silver State and began monitoring its financial stability on a daily basis, according to a state regulatory filing. The day before Mr. McCain resigned, another major Nevada bank, First National Bank of Nevada, had failed...

...If Mr. McCain had remained on Silver State's board another four days, his position on the audit committee would have required him to sign off on the company's second-quarter financial statements. Three weeks after Mr. McCainquit, Silver State had to revise those second-quarter numbers to reflect a larger net loss.

21. hmmm...I did that too
I went to this page: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/20/vicki-isemans-bio-pulled_n_87698.html

and then I clicked the "bio" link and it took me to the firm's home page and when I clicked on Meet the Firm, Iseman's name was listed and I found her bio there.

I also independently opened up the firm's webpage and the bio currently listed looks identical.

Maybe it was gone at one point....
