With an election right around the corner, why seek impeachment now? If we allow the President and Vice President to 'get away with it', we are openly saying that their type of conduct is permissible in future administrations. Any and all crimes committed by the President and Vice President must be put on the official record to create an historical account, to facilitate future pursuit of law enforcement activities concerning the crimes, to remind future Administrations to adhere to the law, and to avert another looming illegal war - this time against Iran. The Articles of Impeachment put the Administration's crimes officially on record and hold the individuals accountable under domestic and international law, even after they leave office.
