Has everyone else read these asshole republicon enablers |
|
on such topics as Oprah, tax cuts for the middle class etc etc? Wtf its ok to bash Oprah for being a black woman with an opinion and a show on TV but don't you dare Question Palin on what shes done as mayor then govner thats repuublicon bashing.
Or Obamas tax plans hurt small businesses and will cause job loss but republicon bail outs and tax cuts to big business creates jobs, wtf are these assholes smoking or inhaling to cause this complete ignorance of reality? Go forbid you mention that every time big business gets bail outs and tax cuts they cut back on the worker so small businesses are being shut out and closed down.
In fact wtf is a small business today? Outside of a few mom & pop stores I haven't seen any small businesses, everythings Wal-Mart style stores nation wide or franchises like 7-11. The good old days of pops friendly neighborhood hardware store has been replaced with home depots ace hardwar or some other over priced low quility super store. Do they even see these changes? Or do they blindly accept these stores with little to no thought to what was once the norm?
Funny how they can't even grasp the fact that small business is hurt by republicon tactics and small business are being replaced by super stores nation wide. Things that baffle the mind, green is purple black is white up is down and the worlds a perfect safe play ground for americons.

2. I know people who would love to start a small business but can't |
|
Or people who used to have small businesses but had to quit to go work for a corporation. Why? They need insurance for their families and themselves and cannot get it for a reasonable cost - or at all.
I ran a small business for many years and had no health insurance. Fortunately I only had one instance where it was really expensive and my parents helped pay the over $10,000 to get my shoulder rebuilt. Since we effectively closed my business, my DH has been working for corporations since 2001 and his health insurance has paid for four operations for me. If we were still trying to operate our business we would now be in serious financial difficulty due to medical bills
My BIL had a flourishing cabinet making business in the Orlando area, building custom kitchen and media cabinets for very upscale houses during their building boom. Although his business was doing very well, he could not get insurance to cover his wife and four kids at any price. So he closed the business he loved and went to work for Disney World at a job he hated. Even after he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, he had to continue working to keep his insurance and worked up to two weeks of his death - all the way through his hellacious chemo and radiation treatments with all the nasty side effects.
Those are just the two stories I know best. I know other people who hate their corporate or government jobs but simply cannot afford to quit and lose their benefits. I also know of many couples in which one spouse works a hated job to provide benefits so the other can pursue a small business career but the insurance companies are getting wise to that ploy and disallowing coverage for a spouse in those circumstances.
So Obama's insurance plan would help many people become free of a slave job in big business and let them choose to start a small business. Starting a business is risky, but many are willing to take that risk; they just do not want to risk the health of their families to do so. A guarantee of insurance would make starting a small family business so much easier!
