Help me find a better picture.

I saw on the TV a scene from a campaign stop by McCain and Palin in which Mr. Palin stood on stage not off to the side as a spouse, but right next to his wife almost as a running mate.

Admiral McCombover sidled up to her uncomfortably before Todd eventually moved away.

Please help me find a better picture, the one posted above is the best one I could find.

He is the real power behind the throne. Just looking at and listening to her you can tell she is just the dumb spouse.

2. If you've seen the pictures (and there are better ones) ...

... they're not normal.

There have been some with Cindy McCain in the shot, but the pose is not the same.

If you could find a person who doesn't know who any of the people are and asked them who is running, they would be hard pressed to answer correctly.

3. Today I was watching Biden on a cnn.com live stream. Simultaneously,

there was a McCain/Palin stream.

It just struck me as WEIRD that the Pres nom and his VP pick are traveling together like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Like McCain on his own wouldn't garner the crowds, and Palin alone scares the shit out of them. That, and that, as you mention, Todd is with her/them every single time.

4. Being with her is fine. Being on stage (the way he did) is different.

Like I said, Cindy McCain has been seen on stage as well, but in a very different manner.

But, I can't find pictures that do not crop him out.

Or at an angle that shows how close he is.

In fact, if I didn't know who he was, I'd think Todd was Secret Service.

7. It isn't even a question of "knowing one's place".

I think the behavior is indicative of habit more than staging.

Todd can't get out of the spotlight.
