What does he plan to do about it?

Afghanistan is not a "winnable" situation. Maybe even more so than Iraq.

The fact is the opportunity was there in 2001 to do something about Afghanistan but it was squandered on Iraq. In the mean time, reckless bombing of civilians in shotgun blast attempts to get "terrorists" have created the conditions their where civilians look upon Americans as just as evil as they did the Soviets during the 1980's....

1. The war on terror is a farce
"Al Queda" is a bunch of weekend jihadis

I am convinced 9/11 was done by them, but they were so stupid the CIA knew about it and let it happen to help Bush.

It's all fear for nothing.

3. You are right, the "War on Terror" is a farce. 9/11 should have
have been turned over to the police.

I'm sorry Obama is buying into to it.

I wish he'd come out for something really radical, like restoring the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

6. He's for it - not quickly but he's for it
At his core he is a Civil Libertarian (not to be confused with the Libertarian Party.)

2. Terrorism is a crime, not a war.

4. Didn't the US learn anything from what happened to the USSR with their occupation and Terrorism is
a tactic. The "war on terror" is bogus and to keep us in a perpetual state of war.

5. most likely true
Afghanistan is also much larger than Iraq.

"When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains, and the women come out to cut up what remains, jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains and go to your gawd like a soldier." Rudyard Kipling
