Which is so terrible, you know.

to people less fortunate than myself before going home to have my own. My daughter gets involved as well as my fiance.
It is one of the most humbling experiences I've ever had.
I'm afraid I don't understand your question.

8. Well I have worked with young people for decades |
|
but it has nothing to do with faith. Why did that jackass from Time say faith based organizations. There are many service organizations that are secular.

Volunteer? How much does it pay? Is it to be forced labor? Will there be meals and cots? It all sounds too vague to me.

I object to them being the only choice. There are hundreds of effective secular community organizations.

19. Since I object to my taxes being used for some charitable organizations operated by specific |
|
religions, in good conscience I must object to all charitable organizations operated by all religious organizations.
For me to do otherwise would mean I infringe upon my understanding of separation of state and religion protected by the First Amendment.
Of course I as one voter and taxpayer depend upon SCOTUS to protect my natural, inherent, inalienable/unalienable rights against the tyranny of a simple majority of representatives in congress and they have failed to protect me in recent years.

22. Just clarifying, thanks for |
|
your civil reply.
Don't know who to trust, these days.
I disagree with that plank, also. (But, I, also, AM voting for Mr. Obama. I'm no 1-trick pony!)
I also agree with a broad view of the 2nd Amendment, with *reasonable* restrictions for the safety of all; those restrictions penalizing unsafe behavior, not classes of weapons.
I'm a neighbor, of sorts, in NW Georgia, but I'm a transplant from the midwest. Nice to meet you.
