12. One of the other telephone bank people at the Obama HQ

had a person just like that on the phone the other day. His rant was the Obama was not American, was Muslim and a non-Christian could not be President, etc. She, as a law school student, tried to reason with him. He ended up screaming over the phone everyone in the room could hear him before he hung up on her. When I coded that sheet later, she had made a note next to his name - "Crazy Guy." :crazy:

I got a woman who said that Obama was not an American. I asked her how that could be since Obama was born in Hawaii adn she sputtered. Then I asked her how McCain could be an American when his birth certificate was from a Panamanian hospital. She freaked out and hung up on me. :dunce:

On the other hand, the best calls are the older people. Tonight I talked to a 75 year old Russian American woman who was upset that she could not work in the campaign since she was in an automobile accident; a 72 year old woman who sounded very frail but who apologized for not being able to help; a Republican gentleman in his 60s who is voting for a Democrat for the first time in his life but who cannot stomach more of the current Republican playbook; and the numerous ladies who are turning out to help us register new voters.

And in our HQ a good 50-60% of the volunteers are white women over 50 - so much for the M$M claim that older white women are turning out for McCain in Florida. They are not in this part of Florida!
