Today showed clearer than ever that Obama wins
when the deck is clean...when there is a truce and mccain cannot pull his cheap, childish stunts, Obama wins....We saw Obama look and sound Presidental at the Forum while mccain and babe flunked big time...and guess what everyone else saw that too...so tomorrow when the left starts to even the score with the jabs and kicks, mccain will meet the mat...

3. Senator McCain failed, it's as simple as that
And it's good we have a great candidate, but Senator McCain failed the first test of his future presidency. He chose a vapid inexperienced screwball religious extremist because his base is not behind him, but they sure are behind her. Now, he's hiding behind her apron strings because he has nothing at all to offer the country. He comes across on the TV screen like a very creepy version of the Wizard of Oz after Toto pulled away the curtains.

She is not ready to be a heartbeat away from the president, yet McCain chose her for his VP. He failed miserably at his first test. It's as simple as that.

4. I didn't watch whatever it was you are talking about. Was this the David G. forum deal?
Can't stand that creep. But wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments!

9. They both had almost an hour on their own, I don't know who was interviewing them.
There's video of each in the video forum. Not sure if they're complete or just clips but I saw posts for them earlier.

5. When The Distractions Become Distractions
I firmly agree this was a very good day indeed. I'm watching the replay of Senator Obama's performance last night...and his experience sounded loud and clear on many levels while Gramps spoke in platitudes and hypotheticals. One had done it, the other was groping. I'm really looking forward to the debates...when its issues, we have candidates who have depth and substance...not talking points and promises. Gramps is getting "straight talked"...talk about going after someone's "strength".

Grandma Barracuda surprised me on how vacuous she was when she didn't have a script and teleprompter to work from. It showed that she had a lifetime of powder puff interviews and even with a sympathetic Charlie ready to throw her a lifesaver, she was so clueless he couldn't help. Those who have and will see this interview will confirm any doubts...and I see a strong blowback on the way. This lady put on a limbo demonstration...the bar was already low and she managed not to be able to hurdle it.

Things won't get any easier for Camp Gramps...the question about his judgement and the repugnant thought of Caribou Barbie being a 72-year old heartbeat away is what is sure to seal the deal in the weeks ahead. I've already seen it from a lot of my contacts...the more they see and learn of Grannie, the more they don't like her...the novelty has worn off.

I feel very good right now...and am optimistic about how things are going to go from here on out. Yes there will be more distractions...what else do they have? But when people go into the polling booths on Nov. 4, they'll check their wallets and how they feel about where this country is...and we could be in for quite a fun evening.

But enough of the dreaming...the hard work of getting every vote out and counted remains.

Cheers...

8. where you see Obama as presidential,
Hillbilly Grand Ol Opry America, West Virginny America, Texas Longhorn Yee-has see BLACK. They can't see past the BLACK. They aren't listening. You'd be surprised at the tiny amount of information that actually penetrates their thick skulls. They probably think Caribou Barbie stuck it to Charlie Gibson in her interview. And when she basically declared war with Russia and set back US Russia relations 50 years they all whooped and said "Yee-ha Sarah! You show them Russian Commies that America ain't to be messed with!"
When Grampa McCain fumbled for real answers and gave up, instead relying on cliches and platitudes, and looked like a phony old idiot with his teeth gritting smile and creepy facial expressions WHITE America saw WHITE. REALLY WHITE. And they like the color WHITE. Doesn't matter if it's Forrest Gump, Adolph Hitler, Charlie Manson or John McCain. Any WHITE is better to them than BLACK. They all fear Black men. When the commercial spoke of how some black candidate would "teach their chillun sex edjucashun a'for they kin read!" this all taps the subconscious fear which Whites have of black men and a black man's supposedly animal sexuality.

None of this is what I believe. This is what is going on in the small walnut sized mind of your Typical White Voter in America. Obama has to somehow reach these people. Good luck, Senator.

10. I think those states that
have such great concentrations of the "Hillbilly Grand Ol Opry America, West Virginny America, Texas Longhorn Yee-has see BLACK" vote republican anyway.

Democrats will vote Obama, Independents will vote Obama. The only way America will elect McCain is if they manage to steal the election again, despite Joe Scarborough's assertion that it is the meme of "victory in war and cutting taxes".

I'm betting Palin's son ends up in some desk job deep in the Green Zone.
