Palin is a mean spirited woman hater
You know the type, they want to be the most beautiful, witty woman in the room. They snipe at other women to "put them in their place". They try to be "one of the guys" to the point they are artificial about their likes and dislikes.

I know women how like to hunt and do other things that used to be reserved for men but they don't have that "look at me and how cool I am" attitude about them that Palin exudes.

I don't really have a name for what they are and it's hard not to seem like it's sexist, It's almost like they practice sexism on themselves and dare anyone to point it out. Men seldom do any counter type behavior - the only thing I can think of is men that play at being super daddy in public(or when they want to get laid) but in private they forget how to change a diaper.

1. I call those so-called women self-hating gender traitors
That's what Failin' is: a gender traitor--take that back, she's a traitor, period.

2. The "woman-haters-club" from the Little Rascals
She disgusts me on a level few people do. To use feminism to undo all the headway woman have fought to attain is lower than low.

3. I know the type you mean.
I think it's insecurity that drives these women, and a fear of being "found out." They exaggerate or misrepresent their accomplishments because they are afraid they can't compete with the big boys on merit. Palin had gone as far as she should go in public life. To set her sights on anything beyond that was to ignore reality and replace it with a shameless arrogance.

Constant posturing and maintaining a veneer of intellect and meaningful experience has to be exhausting. Let your guard down for even a minute and you get eviscerated by a Charlie Gibson.
