Why would UN peace keepers use razor wire

This is disgraceful watching people being cut by this wire.

Let me add that I also saw a US ship with AID - at last.

and wondered the same thing. Smaller women and children will be pushed into the razor wire barriers. Stupid, if not downright evil.

food distributions can turn into riots where people are trampled to death, or food is stolen and sold, it may have been the best option.

5. the simple answer is no one makes barbed wire anymore...

the humane answer is there should be a better way than razor wire to control crowds in these situations.
