Folks, give me some clarity here. IF McCain was to win the Presidency ... What are the chances that the three Supreme Justices don't become open in the next 4 years? Do you think the ones who are question may hold out as long as possible and try to wait out the 4 years? If the Dems can pick up just under 60 votes needed to override the filibuster can we put up more of a fight against the right wing judges McCain may throw at us?

1. Hmmm...I don't know if they all CAN! Stevens is already 88! |
|
Add another 4 years to that, he'd be 92!!!! I'm not saying it wuld be impossible, but it's highly unlikely!
Ginsburg is 75! I've heard she isn't in the best health either.

2. Assuming health is good, I don't thing any of them would retire. However |
|
Stevens is about 90 and Bader-Ginsberg has some health issues as well. We are beyond blessed that both of them have been able to stay this long.

4. I ask this because You know the alternative.. |

Mccain says he's going to appoint more right wing loons to the court. That means all of our civil and human rights will go by the wasteside. And Corproations will finish taking over this country with power they don't need nor deserve.
